ASIA – Sacco S.r.l Cadorago, an Italian biotech company have announced a new partnership with Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients to expand its dairy products presence in South East Asia.

The agreement will see Sacco’s dairy culture and probiotic dairy products distributed exclusively by Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients in Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia and the Philippines.

The collaboration will leverage the combined strength of Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients’ distribution service and Sacco’s product portfolio to deliver products and solutions to the region’s growing yogurt industry.

The agreement was signed in Thailand by Mr Luigi Rossi, dairy business unit export director of Sacco Srl, and Mr Marc Deschamps, regional managing director and CEO of Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients.

“Jebsen & Jessen Ingredient’s deep expertise in specialty ingredients distribution and customer support is a perfect fit.

“We are excited to be expanding our involvement in South East Asia through this new partnership to provide our customers better access to Sacco’s product lines,” said Rossi.

Deschamps added: “We are very happy to bring over 80 years of Sacco culture development in Europe to the region where we can use our strong distribution experience to help drive the regions yogurt market.”

The newly formed partnership follows the success of a previous agreement between the two companies in China.

Established in northern Italy in 1934, Sacco is an international biotech company that produces and partners in research, scale up, production and packaging of selected frozen and lyophilized, microbial cultures, to be used for food and for the production of probiotic food products.

Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients promotes and distributes chemical and life science ingredients for multiple industrial and manufacturing applications.

The company has more than 350 technical sales and customer service staff to connect technology from more than 100 supplier partners to 6,000 customers across the ASEAN region.
