RWANDA – SKOL Brewery Ltd (SBL) has announced the continuation of its support to the local community through FXB Village, as part of its ongoing dedication to corporate social responsibility.
This initiative underscores SKOL’s mission to foster socio-economic development and enhance the well-being of those in need.
In past years, the UNIBRA subsidiary has invested in supporting 60 vulnerable families, totaling 434 individuals, in collaboration with FXB Village.
This investment has played a critical role in helping these families lift themselves out of poverty. To maintain and strengthen this impactful relationship, SBL has pledged to continue providing essential materials to FXB Village beneficiaries on a yearly basis.
These materials range from cleaning and construction supplies to items like blankets and kitchen utensils, which are vital for the ongoing support and development of the beneficiaries.
“Our commitment to social responsibility is unwavering,” stated Thibault Relecom, Shareholder of SKOL.
“By continuing our support to FXB Village, we ensure that these families receive the help they need. This not only reinforces our ties with FXB but also highlights our dedication to supporting vulnerable communities and aligns with our long-term sustainability goals.”
Emmanuel Kayitana, FXB Rwanda Director, highlighted that they are dedicated to taking even more steps towards sustainable development.
Earlier this year, SBL partnered with Total Energies to adopt Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) within its brewery operations.
The collaboration revolves around a comprehensive LPG supply contract, primarily addressing the needs of forklifts and boilers at its Brewery facility.
Additionally, the Virunga maker has collaborated with Orion Basketball Club in the ‘One Shot One Tree’ tree-planting campaign, aiming to plant over 6,000 trees during the campaign’s duration.
The announcement comes after SKOL launched a 0.0% ABV malted beverage, Maltona.
Crafted with premium natural ingredients, Maltona is designed to offer a high-quality drinking experience for all. The bottle features a blend of modern and African patterns, giving it a premium look.
