Keebler debuts Mario Kart cookies
Keebler, a Ferrero Group related company, has launched Mario Kart Fudge Stripes Rocky Road cookies. The new cookie is an innovation based on Keebler’s Fudge Stripes cookies with a chocolate and almond flavored shortbread, topped with a marshmallow flavored fudge drizzle to create a rocky road taste.
The cookies feature designs to mimic the Super Star and Lightening power-up shapes that are well-known to Mario Kart players.
Mario Kart Fudge Stripes Cookies are available exclusively at Walmart starting in mid-August, and available nationwide my mid-September for a suggested retail price of US$3.19 to US$4.57 per 9.7-oz pack.
Frito-Lay expands Lay’s Flavor Swap options
Frito-Lay North America is expanding its lineup of limited-edition Lay’s Flavor Swap potato chips, borrowing flavors from other brands in the company’s portfolio.
Returning offerings include Lay’s Wavy Funyuns onion flavored chips, Lay’s Doritos Cool Ranch flavored chips and Lay’s Cheetos cheese flavored chips. New to the lineup is Lay’s Kettle Cooked Fritos Chili Cheese flavored chips.
Lay’s Flavor Swap potato chips will be available in retailers nationwide while supplies last.
Voortman launches fall-inspired wafers
Voortman Cookies, a subsidiary of Hostess Brands, Inc., is releasing two fall-inspired wafers: pumpkin spice and s’mores.
The limited-edition wafers are made without high-fructose corn syrup, artificial colors or artificial flavors and have “a light, crispy texture and creamy filling,” according to Voortman.
The wafer varieties come in a 10.6-oz package at a suggested retail price of US$3.79.
Cheryl’s Cookies introduces first vegan cookie assortment
Cheryl’s Cookies has launched its first vegan cookie collection with four flavors — Vegan Sugar Cookie, Vegan Marshmallow and Chocolate Chunk Cookie, Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie and Vegan Frosted Cut-Out Cookie.
Available for shipping nationwide, the new vegan flavors may be found in a variety of special gift boxes, including: Vegan Cookie Sampler, Vegan Bow Gift Box, Vegan Happy Birthday Gift Box and Vegan Enjoy Gift Box, with prices ranging from US$14.99 – US$49.99.
The new Cheryl’s Cookies vegan collection joins the brand’s more than 100 different kinds of cookies, brownies, and cakes, including gluten-free, sugar-free and kosher options.
Krispy Kreme debuts Pumpkin Spice Latte Swirl Doughnut
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts has updated its pumpkin spice doughnut lineup to include the new Pumpkin Spice Latte Swirl Doughnut, a Pumpkin Spice Doughnut dipped in a pumpkin spice/sugar blend and topped with a swirl of vanilla and coffee buttercream.
The updated lineup also welcomes the return of several fan favorites:
Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed Doughnut – A classic Original Glazed doughnut with a pumpkin spice twist.
Pumpkin Spice Original Filled Cheesecake Doughnut – A Pumpkin Spice Original Glazed doughnut with creamy cheesecake filing decorated with cheesecake icing.
Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnut – A perfectly spiced old-fashioned cake doughnut covered in iconic glaze.
French’s teams with Dough Doughnuts for mustard donuts
In celebration of National Mustard Day on August 6, French’s is bringing its mustard to the morning with limited-edition French’s Mustard Donuts, developed in partnership with New York City’s Dough Doughnuts.
The mustard-infused treats are available at Dough’s retail locations in New York City and nationwide via online shipping, while supplies last.
The French’s Mustard Donut reimagines a classic brioche glazed doughnut with a vibrant sweet and savory yellow mustard coating that is topped with a yellow mustard cake crumble.
French’s and Dough released a limited number of French’s Mustard Donuts for nationwide shipping on August 6 and fans also can order a free box of two at Dough’s website.
