#Snack Tuesday this week features exciting new products from Pringles, Eat Real, Nestlé, Gatsby Chocolate, General Mills, Pinkbox Doughnuts, Cheryl’s Cookies, La Brea Bakery, and Levain Bakery.

Pringles launch new multigrain non-HFSS range

Kellogg’s Pringles have created a new potato chip range in response to demand for lower salt snacks that include grains. The new chips are made with fibre and grains such as wheat and barley, containing less salt.

New Pringles Multigrain has three different flavours: Sour Cream & Chilli, BBQ Sauce Flavour and Roast Chicken & Rosemary, and will be in addition to the brand’s 13 other varieties already on sale in the UK.

Eat Real expands Hummus Chips range with new flavour

Free-from snacking brand, Eat Real, has added a new flavour to its Hummus Chips range: Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar.

The Sea Salt & Balsamic Vinegar flavour is vegan, in addition to being free from gluten, artificial colours, flavours and ingredients, and is said to contain 30% less fat than regular potato chips.

The new flavour will be available nationwide at stockists, including Sainsbury’s from September and other retailers, such as Tesco, from October 2022.

Nestlé launches new Munchies sharing bar

Nestlé’s Munchies has launched the brand’s first-ever sharing bar. A mouth-watering combination of gooey caramel and crispy biscuit encased in a milk chocolate shell, Munchies Caramel and Biscuit Sharing Bar makes a great treat to break apart and savour with family and friends.

The 87g bar is available now from a variety of supermarkets, convenience, and value stores across the UK.

Gatsby’s Peanut Butter Madness bar turns the butter cup upside down

The low-sugar brand Gatsby Chocolate has taken the best part of a peanut butter cup (the creamy peanut butter on the inside) and created an indulgent, creamy peanut butter bar filled with crunchy, salty chunks of peanuts. It’s the inside of a peanut butter cup…but in bar form.

Moreover, the bar claims to offer only 70 calories per serving – two to three times less calories than other premium chocolate bars

Available in stores across the US, Gatsby’s Peanut Butter Madness bar will join the brand’s current collection of confectionery.

General Mills launches Trix Popcorn

General Mills has expanded its Trix cereal brand to the snacking sector with the launch of Trix Popcorn.

General Mills describes Trix Popcorn as a “perfectly balanced sweet and salty snack”. The popcorn features a Trix-flavoured fruity glaze, along with bits of cereals.

Trix Popcorn is available at Sam’s Club for US$6.48 for a 20oz bag and will roll out at Walmart stores for US$3.69 per 7oz bag from October.

Pinkbox Doughnuts adds new doughnuts for September

Las Vegas-based Pinkbox Doughnuts is featuring some special menu additions throughout the month of September.

Among those is the Doughnut of the Month for September, The Candy Apple. It’s a green frosted raised shell with apple filling and topped with mini-M&M’s and caramel drizzle.

Also new this month is Share Bear. This special treat is a purple frosted raised bear topped with Share Bear décor. Another favorite is the Care Bears Bar, a pink frosted raised doughnut topped with sour gummy bear. Both doughnuts will only be available Friday-Sunday throughout the month.

Cheryl’s Cookies offers new flavors for fall and holidays

Cheryl’s Cookies, part of the 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, Inc. family of brands, has introduced four new flavors for personal enjoyment and everyday gifting.

 Joining the brand’s more than 100 different kinds of cookies, brownies, and cakes, the four new cookies include: Caramel Apple Cookie, Buttercream Frosted Maple Sugar Cookie, Buttercream Frosted Cookie Dough Cookie, and Buttercream Frosted Cinnamon Roll Cookie

Each new item is available now for purchase in its own “flavor box,” with prices ranging from US$26.99-$29.99, and can also be found within a variety of seasonal gift boxes, baskets and more.

La Brea Bakery debuts cinnamon raisin loaf

La Brea Bakery has introduced a new cinnamon raisin artisan bread at Kroger-owned stores. La Brea says it developed the new bread through a partnership with Kroger Co. The two companies say the variety identified a gap in the instore bakery category.

“As a classic bakery favorite, cinnamon raisin bread is versatile and continues to grow in popularity, but you don’t see it in the instore bakery fresh artisan bread offerings,” says Christy Benken, Kroger category manager, bakery – bread and rolls. “This delicious new loaf fills an unmet consumer need.”

Levain Bakery introduces fall chocolate chunk cookie

New York City’s iconic Levain Bakery is introducing a brand-new cookie for the change in seasons.

The Fall Chocolate Chunk, which released on September 14, was created with hints of ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and molasses, layered with melty Valrhona chocolate.

The seasonal cookie is available in 4, 8 and 12 packs that also feature the Dark Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip and Chocolate Chip Walnut cookies.
