Snoop Dogg debuts breakfast cereal

Musician, actor, TV and film producer, rapper, record producer, song-writer and screenwriter Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. (aka Snoop Dog) has announced the imminent release of his latest hit, Snoop Loopz – a gluten-free multigrain cereal touted to have ‘more corn, more flavour and more marshmallows’ taking on Kellogg’s Fruit Loops.

Snoop Loopz will be packaged in a technicolored box and comes with a spoon-wielding blue dog. A release date has yet to be announced, but it will be available in selected retail across the US.

Pioneer Woman introducing its first line of snack mixes

The Pioneer Woman, a lifestyle brand from author and television personality Ree Drummond, is introducing its first line of snack mixes.

Combining nuts with miniature confections and bold seasonings, The Pioneer Woman snack mixes are available in three varieties. A Pecan Sticky Buns flavor features honey roasted pecans, white confectionery mini cups and cinnamon sugar caramel coated puffs.

A Knock You Naked variety mixes caramel popcorn and salted pecans with mini brownie cookies, dark chocolate mini cups, milk chocolate caramel-filled mini cups and coconut cashews. A Spicy Cowgirl flavor features almonds, cashews and pecans coated in a blend of cocoa powder, cinnamon and cayenne pepper, plus dark chocolate mini cups with a mocha-flavored filling and white confectionery mini cups.

The Pioneer Woman snack mixes are available exclusively at Walmart for a suggested retail price of US$4.98 per 7-oz bag.

Tastykake adds mini bundt cakes

lowers Foods, Inc. is expanding its Tastykake brand with the launch of Mini Bundt Cakes in two flavors: chocolate chocolate chip and strawberry flavored.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Mini Bundt Cakes feature chocolate cake made with cocoa with chocolate chips while Strawberry Flavored consists of strawberry-flavored cake.

Both come in 8-oz boxes for a suggested price of US$5.29 and can be found across the US. Each box contains five pouches of four mini bundt cakes.

Campbell and Dunkin introduce pumpkin spice Goldfish

Campbell Soup Co. announced it is partnering with Dunkin’ Brands to create Goldfish Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spice Grahams. According to Campbell Soup, the crackers combine notes of pumpkin, donut glaze and warm spices.

Goldfish Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spice Grahams will be available starting Sept. 1 wherever Goldfish are sold for a suggested retail price of US$3.39 per 6.6-oz. bag.

Insomnia Cookies launches Back to Campus cookies

As colleges and universities resume classes, Insomnia Cookies is unpacking fresh flavors with its limited-edition Back to Campus collection, available in-store, for local delivery, and via nationwide shipping until September 25, or while supplies last.

It includes: Classic Midnight Berry –A warm brown sugar cookie with blueberries and crunchy, berry cereal pieces and Deluxe Filled PB&J – A classic peanut butter cookie jam-packed with grape jelly.

Debuting in September are Classic Cookies ‘N Cream –A brown sugar cookie, packed with cookie sandwich pieces and white chocolate chips and, Classic Caramel Apple Pie – A warm sugar cookie baked with apple, cinnamon, oats and gooey nuggets of caramel.

Girl Scouts to debut raspberry cookie

ABC Bakers and Little Brownie Bakers are expanding Girl Scouts cookie offerings with the launch of Raspberry Rally, a thin crispy cookie infused with raspberry flavor and dipped in chocolaty coating. The new cookie is considered a “sister” cookie to the Girl Scouts Thin Mints.

Raspberry Rally cookies will be the first in the Girl Scout cookie lineup to be exclusively offered for online sale and direct shipment only.

Pinkbox Doughnuts adds carrot cake doughnut for August

Throughout the entire month of August, carrot cake lovers can enjoy a sweet new creation from Las Vegas-based Pinkbox Doughnuts, the What’s Up Doc. The glazed carrot cake is topped with a cream cheese buttercream and carrot shavings.

Also available in August is the Bedtime Bear. This monthly feature is a baby blue frosted raised bear topped with Bedtime Bear décor. Another great addition is the Care Bears Bar, a pink frosted raised doughnut topped with sour gummy bears. These treats will only be available Friday-Sunday throughout the month.

Carnegie Deli introduces Chocolate Covered Cheesecake Bites

One of the hottest (or coldest) frozen treats of the summer in New York City is the new Chocolate Covered Cheesecake Bites from the city’s famed Carnegie Deli.

Featuring a classic New York cheesecake coated in a premium dark chocolate shell, the bites can be enjoyed as part of a celebration or just as a comforting snack. Chocolate Covered Cheesecake Bites are also available in a Party Pack, which contains approximately 120 bites for US$149.
