UK – Retail company Spar has announced that Nestlé’s new Aero Strawberry flavor will be available exclusively in Spar outlets across the United Kingdom starting in May.
This launch will precede the product’s rollout to other convenience stores, retailers, and wholesalers. The Aero Strawberry sharing bar will be available in a 90g format, retailing at US$1.66.
Spar UK has expressed optimism over the move, which will allow its customers exclusive access to the new product.
Gemma Turner, Spar UK’s trading manager, said, “We are thrilled to announce the exclusive nationwide launch of Nestlé Confectionery’s latest innovation, Aero Strawberry flavor, in our Spar stores.”
“In a sector where innovation is key, Spar has once again raised the bar by providing convenience shoppers with the opportunity to purchase a new and exciting product from Spar stores first.”
The retailer described the launch as part of its wider commitment to enhance customer experience through new and exciting products.
The company prides itself on being an appropriate partner for its partners, offering what it calls marketing in convenience.
Nestle also expressed optimism regarding the retailer’s market reach. Alex Bradbury, Senior National Account Manager at Nestlé Confectionery, said, “We’re excited to supply our new Aero Strawberry flavor sharing bar with Spar shoppers across the UK who will give Aero Strawberry flavor fantastic reach for the launch.”
The move follows a similar partnership with Mr. Beast’s Feastibles chocolate bars announced in July 2023.
Spar UK gained exclusive retail rights for the chocolate bars as part of the company’s convenience marketing approach.
The exclusive launch helped leverage Spar’s market position and raise awareness of the product in the UK market.
Spar UK reiterated the convenience offered to customers through the exclusive deal.
Henry Goodchild, Spar UK Trading Controller, said, “The entire SPAR organization has worked together to bring this new opportunity to convenience shoppers, and our SPAR stores are thrilled to be the first in convenience to supply customers with the range of Feastables chocolate bars.”
The exclusive deal with the Feastibles brand is a testament to Spar’s track record of market disruption for brands seeking to enter the UK market.
The exclusive launch will be followed by an aggressive marketing campaign that will include point-of-sale deals, in-store radio, consumer competitions, and online activity.
