SWEDEN – Provider of value-adding vegetable oils & fats, AAK has appointed food industry veteran and former chief executive at Biomega Group, Sten Estrup as the company’s new President of Asia.

Following his appointment, AAK also noted that Sten will be part of the company’s Executive Committee and will be based at the company’s Singapore office.

Estrup, a Danish native, joins Sweden-based company with more than 25 years of experience across the food and health industries, holding executive roles within operations, sales, marketing, and commercial development.

Most recently, he was CEO of Biomega Group, a company in the health and nutrition industry, where he will continue as Chair of the Board.

Sten also had an extensive career within Chr. Hansen, a leading global bioscience company, holding various international positions on four different continents.

During his last career days at Chr. Hansen, he was the Executive Vice President Asia Pacific & Latin America and part of the corporate leadership team and was based in Singapore.

Sten Estrup succeeds Torben Friis Lange who after nearly a decade with the company has decided to pursue new career opportunities outside of AAK. Sten will assume his role no later than August 1, 2020.
