USA – Bacardi, the largest privately held, family-owned spirits company in the world, has responded to the growing popularity of pink gin in the US by introducing the Bosford Rose gin liqueur to the US market.

According to the FoodBev, the company claimed that Bosford Rose Premium Gin & Strawberry Liqueur is the first pink gin to launch nationwide in the US, and the drink is aimed at millennial consumers who are driving the growth of fruit-flavoured gin products.

The liqueur contains the same botanical ingredients found in the original Bosford gin recipe: juniper, coriander, angelica, lemon and orange peel, which are then blended with strawberry and raspberry flavours and sugar.

Bacardi said that the fruit flavours give the drink a “light sweetness”, which softens the subtle bitter taste associated with gin.

“Bosford Rose is a sophisticated and light-hearted spirits brand, which boasts a fruity, balanced flavour, designed to thrill the palate of today’s sophisticated consumer who likes to explore new and interesting flavours,” said Lisa Pfenning, global vice-president, Acceleration Brands for Bacardi.

“Following its successful launches in Spain and France, we are excited to introduce Bosford Rose to the US cocktail scene and are confident it will make a colourful splash at any summer soirée and beyond.”

Bottled at 37.5% abv, Bosford Rose Premium Gin & Strawberry Liqueur is available throughout the US, including Maryland, Georgia, New York, Illinois, California and Florida, at an RRP of US$14.99 per 750ml.
