ISRAEL – Steakholder Foods Ltd, a pioneering company in cultivated meat and 3D printing technology, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wyler Farms, one of Israel’s leading alternative protein and tofu producers.

The breakthrough private sector commercialization deal is valued at several million dollars and is poised to revolutionize the plant-based meat industry.

The terms of the deal involve Wyler Farms acquiring Steakholder Foods’ cutting-edge 3D Fusion Pro meat printer, alongside a subscription to Steakholder Foods’ proprietary SH Software and NutriBlend ink for plant-based meat production.

The partnership is hailed as an industry-first incorporation of industrial-scale 3D printing technology into the food sector, showcasing the innovative potential of Steakholder Foods’ technology.

The collaboration is expected to yield a unique plant-based 3D printed meat steak, produced by Wyler Farms using Steakholder Foods’ proprietary printers and NutriBlend ink.

“The deal, valued at several million US dollars over the next few years, is a significant development in the plant-based meat industry, signaling a commitment to advancing sustainable and innovative production practices.”

The Fusion Pro 3D printer, known for its modular design capable of producing up to 500 kg of highly advanced texturized printed products per hour, exemplified the shared dedication to innovation and sustainability between Steakholder Foods and Wyler Farms.

The installation of the Fusion Pro is anticipated to be completed between Q4 of 2024 and Q1 of 2025.

According to Arik Kaufman, CEO of Steakholder Foods, the collaboration with a leading player in its field like Wyler Farm marks an inflection-point milestone for Steakholder Foods.

“By incorporating our Fusion Pro technology into Wyler Farms’ industrial operations alongside their subscription to our proprietary software and ink supply, we’re setting a new standard for the industry.”

In addition, Yair Ayalon, Vice President of Business Development at Steakholder Foods, highlighted the significance of this collaboration in enhancing the company’s commercial phase, with plans to forge more strategic partnerships in 2024, solidifying its position in the market.

On the other hand, Oleg Kulyava, CEO of Wyler Farm, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, describing it as a significant milestone for Wyler Farms, positioning their products at the forefront of the plant-based meat market.
