EGYPT – Symrise, a German flavours and fragrances specialist has inaugurated its Creative Center in the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt comprising of modern development and application laboratories for taste solutions.
Symrise will utilize the facility to develop flavours for various application areas, in particular for Beverages, Confectionery, Dairy, Culinary and Snacks ingredients.
The Creative Center having been equipped with state-of-the-art technology, will enable the development of customized product solutions, applications and adapt existing products for the market.

The new facility, meeting the company’s global development and technology standards is intended to strengthen the company’s reach in the MEA region and its collaboration with strategic customers.

It will also make it easy to exchange information with customers from Africa and the Middle East and also the industrial and agricultural infrastructure of Egypt provides valuable advantages for development of.

“We are now expanding these capacities with our modernized site thereby increasing the attractiveness for our customers in the region,” he added.
In September the flavor and fragrance manufacture opened its first applications labs in Lagos, Nigeria as part of a growth strategy to strengthen its presence in the growing West African market having been active in the country for over 30 years.
Symrise’s global expansion comprises the setup of application laboratories in key growth markets. The company is currently investing in research on the best cultivation conditions for vanilla in specifically designed fields in northern Madagascar.
The company is sharing the expertise gained from the tests with local partner farmers, in a bid to help increase yields and ensure consistent premium quality of vanilla. The project currently works with around 7,000 smallholder farmers in 90 villages.
