SINGAPORE – Symrise Asia Pacific, a global leader in flavor and fragrance, has announced its latest stride in the realm of naturalness innovation with the inauguration of the “Enhanced Naturals @SPark” facility in Singapore.

The state-of-the-art facility, nestled within the SPark innovation and technology center, is geared towards meeting the surging demand for sustainable, natural, and plant-based alternatives within the food and beverage industry.

The move came as industry experts predict an exponential rise in the significance of naturalness in Asia, particularly in the health and wellness food sector.

Analysts have therefore forecasted a remarkable Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 9.9% in the Asia Pacific health and wellness food market from 2022 to 2029, reflecting the growing consumer preference for natural and healthier options.

In response, Symrise has committed substantial resources to the development of dedicated facilities focused on side stream valorization, technological advancements, and new raw materials research.

The Enhanced Naturals @SPark boasts purpose-built laboratories specializing in thermal treatments, extraction processes, and biotransformation.

The advanced are aimed to build upon Symrise’s deep understanding of consumer preferences, allowing for the creation of sustainable, natural, and plant-based innovations across a wide range of categories, including culinary, dairy, and beverages.

This expansion equips Symrise with the capacity to offer customers a diverse array of options to cater to the burgeoning demand among discerning consumers.

Moreover, the Enhanced Naturals @SPark features a co-development area capable of accommodating up to twenty individuals, fostering spontaneous conversations and collaborative efforts with customers.

This collaborative space reflects Symrise’s commitment to innovation in response to evolving market dynamics and consumer preferences.
