CANADA – Italian multinational food company Barilla has announced its acquisition of Ebro Foods’ Catelli dry pasta business in Canada, in a deal valued at CAD 165 million (approximately $128.6 million). The acquisition is the culmination of a journey started back in October 2020 when Ebro Foods’ Catelli Foods Corporation, entered an agreement for the divestiture of its dry pasta business to Barilla. Barilla invests US$1.2b in an expansion plan as demand for pasta rises

ITALY – Barilla, an Italian food company, has invested US$1.2 billion over five years to expand production and launch new products as the world’s biggest pasta maker responds to shifting demand.
