Ocado makes new investments to accelerate development of autonomous delivery vehicles

UK – British automation and robotics company Ocado has announced a £10 million (about US$13.83 million) investment in autonomous vehicle software company Oxbotica, as part of a new commercial partnership to develop autonomous delivery solutions. Headquartered in Oxford, Oxbotica’s products use an advanced set of AI, machine learning and optimisation technologies to yield a low-power, quick-to-deploy ‘Universal Autonomy’ platform. Kroger introduces ‘Customer Fulfilment Centre accelerate eCommerce capability

US – American grocery retailer, Kroger has launched what it claims to be America’s first Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) in an effort to accelerate its eCommerce capability. According to a report by FoodBev, the CFC was developed using technology developed by UK-based delivery service Ocado.
