Palsgaard invests US$113m to expand its production capacity in Denmark

DENMARK – Palsgaard, Danish emulsifier producer has announced that it will invest DKK 750 million (US$113 million) to double the production capacity at its production facility in Juelsminde, Denmark, by 2024. According to a statement from Palsgaard, the investment will pay for a new spray cooling tower which will be fully operational by the first quarter of 2023 and will add an additional 30,000 tonnes to the company’s spray capacity. Palsgaard acquires Turkish food ingredients distributor in European growth drive

TURKEY – Palsgaard, a Danish emulsifier ingredients supplier, has acquired Teknaroma, a Turkish food ingredients distributor enabling the company to augment its European operations and shore up sales. The companies did not disclose the financial details of the transaction. However, Palsgaard revealed that it will acquire 90% of the Teknaroma shares, with Teknaroma’s previous owners retaining 10%. Palsgaard named Sustainability Champion at Fi Innovation Awards

EUROPE – Global emulsifier specialist, Palsgaard has won the Sustainability Champion prize at the Food Ingredients Europe Innovation Awards after reducing net CO2 emissions from its six global production sites to zero. Palsgaard takes step towards carbon-neutral production with solar panels activations
