INDIA – The Dutch brewing company, Heineken has acquired a 2.8% stake in India’s leading beer manufacturer, United Breweries, expanding its reach in the country’s beer market. Heineken has purchased 7,400,000 shares of United Breweries Holding (UBHL) from the ED (Directorate of Enforcement), the government agency.
