SAUDI ARABIA – Tanmiah Food Company, a Saudi Arabian day-old, broiler chicks and hatching broiler eggs producer, is entering a partnership with Griffith Foods through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to broaden its product range and enhance distribution across the region.
Griffith Foods is a global product development and production company specializing in food ingredients including seasonings, marinades, sauces and coating systems.
The collaboration is expected to align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by supporting food security and self-sufficiency while also promoting sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.
As part of the agreement, the two companies will work on a supply deal to improve product availability and strengthen their position in key markets.
Discussions will cover contract terms and strategies that combine Griffith Foods’ expertise in food ingredient solutions with Tanmiah’s established regional presence.
Beyond the supply agreement, both companies are considering forming a joint venture in Saudi Arabia.
This initiative would focus on identifying growth opportunities, refining business strategies, and improving operations to enhance product development capabilities.
A key component of the partnership involves establishing an advanced research and development center in Saudi Arabia.
This facility would be dedicated to food innovation, product formulation, and the creation of healthier and more sustainable food solutions for both regional and global markets.
The growing demand for halal food and ingredients, as highlighted during the Makkah Halal Forum 2025, is a driving factor behind this agreement.
The partnership will merge Griffith Foods’ global expertise in product development with Tanmiah’s manufacturing capabilities to create a stronger halal brand in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
In addition to developing new products, the companies will explore the feasibility of launching a facility in Saudi Arabia dedicated to producing exclusively halal ingredients.
This plant would serve the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market, aiming to meet rising consumer demand.
Several companies in the Middle East, particularly in Saudi Arabia, are securing partnerships to expand their business portfolios.
Recently, Halal Products Development Company (HPDC) and Al Watania Poultry signed an agreement to strengthen their presence in the Middle East.
The deal is focused on introducing innovative halal food solutions and enhancing supply chain efficiency in line with international standards.
Al Watania Poultry, which operates in Qassim, produces more than one million chickens and 1.5 million eggs per day, according to its official website.
Founded in 1977 by Sheikh Suleiman Al Rajhi, the company employs over 7,500 people and holds approximately 30% of Saudi Arabia’s poultry market share.
The company has also expanded beyond Saudi Arabia, supplying around 40% of the poultry market across the Gulf region.
