NETHERLANDS – tna has opened a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the Netherlands to expand its manufacturing footprint in processing equipment for the potato and vegetable processing industries in the Netherlands.

The new facility will be involved in processing equipment including its range of fryers and freezers, but also pre-processing equipment such as peelers, washers and dryers.

With increased capacity tna is able to make its technology even more accessible to customers while addressing growing global demand for its wide range solutions.

tna solutions manufactures and supplies integrated food packaging and processing machines including materials for handling, processing, inserting and labelling, coating, distribution, seasoning, weighing, packaging, cooling, freezing, metal detection, controls.

Apart from manufacturing, the new centre will host an expanded Food Technology Testing Centre (FTTC) and a dedicated product demonstration area.

It has been equipped with tna’s food processing solutions plus the latest controls technology where customers can get first-hand information on solutions.

Food manufacturers have an opportunity to gain a better understanding of how advanced equipment integration, detailed data collection and cloud-based controls can transform their production line efficiencies.

A facility in the Dutch was a perfect match since Netherlands has played a vital role in the global potato processing industry, according to Alf Taylor, CEO at tna.

The Dutch are amongst the top ten potato producers in the world and has also achieved the highest average yield rates per square meter.

“We’re incredibly excited to officially open our new food processing centre”, said Nadia Taylor, co-founder and director of tna.

“The new site is three times bigger than the previous Florigo factory, which not only strengthens our current manufacturing capabilities, but also ensures that we have the capacity to further expand our operations in the future.

It’s also great news for our customers who now have even more room to test our equipment.

From cutting and drying through to frying, seasoning and distribution, all the way to our high-speed packaging technology, the new factory will be the first place where we’ll get to showcase our entire range of start-to-finish solutions.

We’re really happy with the setup of the new factory and can’t wait to welcome everyone at the new site!”

The company said it has increased the local workforce by 80% to ensure that the company continues to provide today’s food manufacturers with the innovative processing technology they need to stay ahead in the market.

Since the acquisition of Florigo in 2015, tna has stood out as a single-source supplier that offers integrated solutions for every step of the potato processing line.
