UK’s Plamil Foods introduces innovative chocolate bar made from coffee beans

UNITED KINGDOM – Plamil Foods has just unveiled what it claims to be the ‘world’s first’ chocolate bar made from coffee beans instead of cocoa beans, known as the Coffee Bar.

According to Plamil Food’s statement, the Coffee Bar has been crafted using whole coffee beans, providing a velvety texture that closely resembles traditional chocolate bars.

The production process involves roasting selected beans in small batches so as to capture the rich coffee bean flavors.

This innovative release comes at a time of soaring chocolate prices and a global scarcity of cocoa beans.

The new Coffee Bar is expected to align with Plamil Foods’ plant-based philosophy, which means it will also cater for vegans.

According to the company, Coffee Bar is expected to debut at the London Coffee Festival, scheduled to take place from April 11th to 14th at the Truman Brewery.

Adrian Ling, CEO of Plamil Foods, expressed his enthusiasm for the groundbreaking product, stating, “Nobody has done this before – the great taste and smooth mouthfeel are attributed to a unique production technique. After a year of intensive development, we have finally perfected the recipe for creating a coffee bar.”

Ling continued, highlighting the rationale behind the innovative concept, “Turning coffee into a bar may sound unusual at first glance, but when you compare coffee to chocolate, it makes perfect sense. Chocolate itself was originally consumed as a beverage until Frys of Bristol introduced the chocolate bar 175 years ago.”

Acknowledging that The Coffee Bar may not replace the traditional cup of coffee for everyone, Ling emphasized its convenience for busy individuals seeking a barista-quality snack on the go.

Plamil Foods believes that The Coffee Bar has the potential to meet consumer demands and carve out its niche in the industry.
