USA – Unilever-owned Magnum Ice Cream has introduced a new non-dairy bar and two new ice cream tubs flavors, which the brand says are all expertly crafted with velvety ice cream and the brand’s signature cracking chocolate shell.

Magnum Ice Cream is bringing to the market its non-dairy sea salt caramel bars, double pistachio honey tubs and double almond brown butter tubs.

According to the brand owners, the new Magnum non-dairy sea salt caramel bars deliver indulgent taste with a non-dairy sea salt caramel base dipped in a cracking non-dairy chocolate shell and will join the brands Classic and Almond varieties.

Unilever explains that master chocolatiers source cocoa beans from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms and pair them with a deliciously creamy vanilla base made with a blend of coconut oil and pea protein, a plant-based alternative to dairy.

Magnum Ice Cream tubs, first introduced in 2018, are said to be the first ice cream wrapped in a chocolate shell.

The ice creams tubs are made with velvety ice cream, gooey sauce, and milk chocolate shards encased in chocolate as part of the brands move to reimagine the signature Magnum chocolate ice cream bar in an indulgent, scoopable format.

The two new ice cream tubs flavors are both made with Belgian Chocolate. Magnum Double Almond Brown Butter comes as a velvety almond ice cream with swirls of brown butter sauce and milk chocolate shards, in a cracking milk chocolate shell.

The new Magnum Double Pistachio Honey will be available as a sweet pistachio ice cream with swirls of honey and milk chocolate shards, also in a cracking milk chocolate shell.

“At Magnum Ice Cream, we’re obsessed with delivering a next-level bite,” says Leslie Miller, Director of Marketing, Ice Cream North America.

“Caramel is Magnum’s most popular ice cream flavor in dairy bars and tubs, so it’s exciting to bring it to market in an equally delicious Non-Dairy Bar.

“Our new Magnum Tubs varieties are inspired by popular ‘perfect pairings’ in desserts that we are thrilled to bring to ice cream.”

Magnum Non-Dairy Sea Salt Caramel Bars, Magnum Double Almond Brown Butter Tubs and Magnum Double Pistachio Honey Tubs are available at grocery stores in the United States for a suggested retail price of US$4.49-US$5.99.

In addition to the three new product varieties, Unilever revealed that Magnum ice cream is introducing a new cacao claim on its Classic Ice Cream Bars.

Magnum is rolling out new packaging that indicates the cacao percentage in each product, similar to what is found on premium chocolate bars, in a move to better help chocolate lovers find the best chocolate ice cream bar for them,

The packaging will be rolled out this year on all Magnum Classics (three-count and six-count Dairy Bars).
