GHANA – Unilever Ghana Limited has appointed two new directors to strengthen its management team.

They are Ms Nana Yaa Kissi, who has been appointed Marketing Director to take over from Mr Clarence Nartey who has decided to pursue other interests outside of Unilever after 15 years of service. 

The second director is Mr. Michael Otchere Duah. He will be in charge as Human Resource Director. 

He succeeds Mr Stendert Krommendam who worked for Unilever Ghana in the last two years as an International Assignee and has since returned to his home country. 

Ms Kissi joins the leadership team as a seasoned marketer with multi country and cross-category experience in various positions.

Prior to her appointment, she was on international assignment based out of Durban, South Africa as the Head of Marketing for Africa Emerging Markets with responsibility for a number of markets including Angola, Cameroon DRC, Mauritius, Gabon and Southern African markets. 

She is a business leader with over 12 years work experience in cross-functional roles within Unilever. She holds a Bachelor of Education in Psychology from the University of Cape Coast, a Post Graduate Diploma in Business and Marketing Strategy from EduQual and a Master’s degree in Marketing and Innovation from the London School of Marketing, UK.

Mr Duah has been with Unilever Ghana Ltd for the last 10 years and has served in diverse roles within the HR function.

Prior to his appointment, he was the Country HR Manager for the Unilever French West African business, based out of Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire with responsibility for eight francophone countries.

He is an alumnus of the University of Ghana, holds a BA in Psychology and Sociology, MBA in HR Management from the University of Wales, UK and a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, UK.

The Managing Director of Unilever Ghana, Ms Maidie Arkutu in her statement, said “these appointments reinforce Unilever’s ambition to build African Talent for Africa and we are delighted to have Nana Yaa and Michael join the Leadership Team at Unilever Ghana’’.
